It is part of the PACSystem RX7i platform, currently under Emerson Automation, formerly produced by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). This CPU is a rack mounted device that comes with 700 MHz Pentium III microprocessor and 10 Mbytes of battery-backed user memory and 10 Mbytes non-volatile (Flash) memory. The CPU’s IO memory is configurable to a maximum of 32Kbits for discrete %I and %Q and up to 32K words each for analog %AI and %AQ. It comes with Two (2) Ethernet communication port supporting 10/100 Mbps data rate and Two (2) isolated serial ports supporting RS232 and RS45 standard and another RS232Ethernet station manager port.
